![]() | An easterly directionTeam Elmer’s is excited to announce that we are now better poised to serve you on the east side of the state. The company recently purchased Cordes Excavating of Hillman, Mich. | ![]() | Best Of...Team Elmer's StyleIt's that time of year. Hollywood has the Oscars. Washington has the primaries. NFL has the playoffs. Well, here at Team Elmer's, we've got our 'Best Of' Awards. Take a look at the 2011 winners… (Be sure to click on the links to see additional photos and learn more about the cool stuff we're able to do.)![]() Team Elmer's excavated more than 120,000 yards of material when constructing the County Line Road Landfill cell. That would fill an area the size of six football fields almost eleven feet deep. Yowza. ![]() It sure was rewarding to provide shotcrete to construct vertical walls and rock recreations at the new Soaring Eagle Water Park and Hotel in Mt. Pleasant. But it'll be even more fun when we go back next summer to test out those slides. Wheeee! ![]() To minimize delays in a heavy traffic area during a busy time of year, the state allowed Team Elmer's to pave Division Street in Traverse City during the wee hours of the night. Delays were minimal to non-existent and safety was much improved for both workers and drivers. ![]() While working in Manistee to replace and separate an old brick sewer catch basin and waterline, our crew endured eight inches of rain in a 12 hour period. And when it rains, it pours. This time while constructing the new seven-acre County Line Road Landfill in Indiana, the team saw two inches fall in just an hour. We resisted the urge to belly flop down the mud slides. ![]() It's eerie. Team Elmer's moved almost the exact same amount of material when constructing both the Venice Park Landfill in Flint and Westside Landfill in Three Rivers on the other side of the state. 80,000 yards to be precise. Do you think those guys are pen pals? ![]() Team Elmer's milled, removed, paved, replaced, compacted, and cleaned up 1.7 lane miles of US-31/Division Street from 14th Street to Front St. in Traverse City, all in a mind-blowing 16 hours. Holy cow it was a challenge, but well worth the hard work! ![]() Our crews trekked 375 miles to Marion, Ohio to install micro piles for a new building foundation. And although the project clocked in a bit closer to home at 275 miles, the landfill in Argos, Indiana took 17 weeks to complete. We'll give that one an honorable mention! ![]() If the Team Elmer's cranes could talk, they'd have the most interesting stories to tell. One of the best might be when they removed construction debris from the new tower floor area of Cherry Capital Airport Aviation Traffic Control Tower earlier this year. Definitely one for the grandkids. You're the Best Award This was an easy one. Our friends and customers are the best! We'd like to send you a small token of our appreciation. Drop us a note to info@teamelmers.com with your name and address, and we'll send you a free Team Elmer's calendar (while supplies last, of course).
