Traverse City Film Festival begins today!

The always popular Traverse City Film Festival (TCFF) is back for another year of "Just Great Movies!"

The TCFF is a charitable non-profit organization that operates on the premise that "one great movie can change you." There are over 200 films showing this year on nearly 20 screens across the area. The festival also holds screenings for free at the waterfront Open Space Park, and donates all films shown during the festival to the area's public libraries so others can experience the cinema for free.

"We are committed to showing great movies that both entertain and enlighten the audience," says Michael Moore, President and Founder.

Team Elmer's has supported the TCFF as a Major Sponsor since the first showing in the previously shuttered State Theater and continues to offer support for this year's festival.

Lowering Lafranier Road

Team Elmer's recently completed work on Lafranier Rd in Traverse City, MI, revamping a mile and a half of deteriorating roadway.

However, the majority of the work was focused around the steep hill on the north end of the road near the busy South Airport Rd intersection. The grade of the hill was lowered 12 feet, making it much safer for all travelers, particularly during the icy winter months. 

But that's not it! Given the very limited right of way space on each side of the road, a redi-rock retaining wall was put in place to provide stable side slopes and space for brand new sidewalks!
