Highway M-115 has a fresh new look! The 6.4 mile stretch of Highway M-115 from Benzonia to Frankfort was reconstructed this past summer. The project was extensive, requiring 40,000 yards of unsuitable material to be removed and hauled away to cut subgrade and make room for 30,000 yards of sand to replace it. The crews also put down roughly 50,000 ton of fresh asphalt for the newly resurfaced roadway. Take a look at the challenges the crews faced throughout the 8 month long project. And find out what one young observer did to help them power through the long hours and hot summer days in this episode of the TEU! |
