Clinch Park Marina RepairsA few years ago Clinch Park Marina was revitalized with an updated look and given added attractions for families to enjoy. Lake wave action required several areas to be updated, including the new kayak launch and break wall used to divert incoming waves. The City of Traverse City Engineering department designed several upgrades to the exsiting system. As low bidder for the public contract, Team Elmer's piers & piles crew took to the water repairing the break wall with new sheeting and an improved stone base to support it according to design plans. The splash pad also received a lot of attention, installing a new storm diverter, more brick pavers, and a new seating area for parents to relax and watch their children play. Team Elmer's Update - Episode 20: Clinch Park Marina The flooding of the pedestrian tunnel beneath Grandview Parkway is also on the list for repair, however, that aspect of the project is still ongoing. The splash pad and the rest of the ammenities at Clinch Park Marina are open and available for you and your family to enjoy this holiday weekend!

M-113 Timelapse The reconstruction of Highway M-113 began earlier this year in March. In total the project spans roughly 5 miles, stretching from US-131 to north of M-186 into Kingsley. This timelapse video focuses on the north end of M-113, which included a large fill section to raise the grade and improve visibility for drivers. The entire project is expected to be completed by August, weather permitting. |
