Episode 10: EZ Seal Concrete

The Cass Rd Bridge project comes to a close!

Residents of the Traverse City area will be pleased to hear the nearly 6 month detour around the Cass Rd Bridge is over! The project, which started back in March, is the first of two major projects to remove the Boardman Dam and the 1-lane bridge next to it.

Before the dam can be removed and the river rerouted, the new 2-lane bridge had to be constructed first. The new bridge actually stretches over the old riverbed, where eventually the river will flow again once the Boardman Dam is removed next year.

 The ribbon cutting ceremony was held on the bridge earlier this morning and shortly after the route was reopened to the public!
