Employee Screening
Team Elmer's health and safety culture starts on the day of hire and continues throughout the year. Each candidate must complete a physical and a drug test prior to training. All divisions require at least eight hours of safety training before permitting a worker to work in the field.
Drivers: Before starting work, all CDL (Commercial Driver's License) drivers must attend a "New Drivers Training" course, which educates them on the driver qualifications, hours of service rules, health, and wellness practices, and whistleblower protection provisions by which Team Elmer's operates. In order to earn employment, CDL drivers are required to demonstrate proficiency by driving through a course with a company trainer.
Drugs and Alcohol: At Team Elmer’s, we contract with a third-party company to administer and perform all Department of Transportation and company required Alcohol and Drug screening tests.
