TRAVERSE CITY, MICH., March 4, 2013 – Team Elmer’s was recently recognized by the Builders Exchange of Northern Michigan for one of their highest-profile projects from the past year.Doug DeYoung of the Traverse Area Chamber of Commerce was on hand at last month’s Builders Exchange Awards Banquet to recognize nine area contractors for the exemplary nature of their work and positive economic impacts on the community. Team Elmer’s scored accolades for their work on Silver Drive at Grand Traverse Commons.
The work on Silver Drive involved deep muck excavations and innovative revamping strategies to generate a southern entrance into Grand Traverse Commons. In addition to muck removal, Team Elmer’s also performed landscaping, storm sewer construction, area restoration, and asphalt paving, all while maintaining traffic to existing businesses throughout the sprawling complex.
Since its incorporation in 1959, the Builders Exchange of Northern Michigan has been dedicated to fostering the growth and progress of the Northwest Michigan area by encouraging high quality workmanship. The organization believes that construction projects such as those honored at their annual awards event will play key roles in leading the area out of recession.
