| Pointing in the right directionTeam Elmer's works all across Michigan - for everyone from counties to college campuses - completing projects even in the trickiest situations. South: Michigan State University Library
Meanwhile, MSU is having utilities issues of its own down in Lansing. The Main Library houses many aging items that require temperature and humidity control for preservation. When the devices that chill water for the building’s air-conditioning system needed replacement, Team Elmer's was on hand to assist A.Z. Shmina, Inc., the general contractors, with the foundation. Our crews installed 22 auger cast piles - each 14 inches in diameter - 30 feet deep. A cage of rebar was installed inside each pile with four 7/8 inch diameter vertical bars and 3/8 inch diameter horizontal ties every twelve inches along the 30 ft. shaft. With the help of Team Elmer’s, the Spartans will be able to preserve their books and stay cool while they study! East: Lincoln Streetscape in Concrete
Our work in East Jordan may be underground, but one Michigan town is getting a face-lift! As part of a beautification of the city of Lincoln (17 miles north of Oscoda), Team Elmer’s has poured approximately 1,200 yards of curb and sidewalk. There is exposed aggregate concrete pea stone, along with sidewalk, curbs and gutters throughout the project. West: Manistee Cedar Street Sewer Project
Team Elmer’s has achieved a royal flush in Manistee, Michigan, by installing part of a sewer overflow separation project. Previously, the storm sewer and sanitary sewer systems would flow to the Manistee Waste Water Treatment Facility for treatment, and additional storm sewer volume being treated would cost the taxpayers money. During a significant storm, the treatment facility would be over capacity and overflow volumes would release both storm water and sanitary sewer water directly into the Manistee River. Thanks to Manistee's efforts, Team Elmer's is separating the lines restricting storm sewer volumes sent to the treatment facility and reducing the overflow problem in a storm event.
